Vladimir Gajic (BETAPHOTO/MILAN OBRADOVIC)
A lawyer and a former Member of Parliament, Vladimir Gajic, was elected last week as the new president of the People's Party, replacing Vuk Jeremic, who decided to retire from politics following a debacle in the December elections. Gajic is not a particularly charismatic leader whose personality can attract voters, and he will find it difficult to strengthen the party, already weakened as Zdravko Ponos and Miroslav Aleksic had left it, taking numerous members and supporters with them.
