Vucic Turns to Right-Wing Parties

The deterioration of Serbia’s foreign policy position due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine and potential economic difficulties in the country, with a simultaneous desire for solidifying power, could lead to a widening of the ruling coalition in Serbia after the April elections. There are hints that the president of Serbia and the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vucic, will not settle for a post-election coalition only with Ivica Dacic’s Socialist Party of Serbia, rather he will aim to get one or more right-wing parties to become a part of the government, too. There are certainly some among them who are ready to do so.
