Crisis in North Kosovo (BETAPHOTO/SASA DJORDJEVIC/DS)
The crisis in North Kosovo, where Serbs have been blocking the main roads again since Dec. 10, is growing increasingly complex with each new day. The situation has been complicated further by an announcement from the Serbian authorities that they will request permission for the return of 1,000 members of Serbia’s security forces to Kosovo, as well as by the fact that Kosovo top officials have signed an EU membership application, which has made Belgrade’s position even more difficult.
