Numerous opponents of the Aleksandar Vucic administration, including student protesters, have for days been calling for a general strike in the country. The likely day that everything is supposed to stop is Jan. 24, according to announcements. Even though it is certain that many will respond to this call, a true, general strike in the country does not seem as a realistic option at this time. Still, no one can predict what Serbia will look like on Jan. 24, when Vucic has also announced the start of a new countrywide campaign to promote a new movement in an attempt to suppress the widespread revolt in the country.
