In the days preceding and after the See You on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day) protest, the Aleksandar Vucic regime has stepped up its repressive measures against the student-led protests. The background to these measures is Vucic’s desire to soothe the ruling party’s voters, who are enraged by traffic blockades and want “order to be restored in the country,” i.e. a confrontation with the “blockaders.”
