This week’s messages from European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos regarding Serbia, but also her meeting with University of Belgrade Rector Vladan Djokic on the same day in Brussels, indicate that the European Commission has changed course regarding the regime led by Aleksandar Vucic. Conditioning the payment of funds to Serbia on the implementation of reforms in fundamental areas means the European Union (EU) and its members are aware of what the authorities in Belgrade are actually doing and will no longer tolerate their games.
