Serbia’s deeply divided public has interpreted President Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to China in very different ways. While pro-government media have emphasized the historic importance of the visit and its long-term impact on Serbia’s future, the president speaks about it as one of the highlights of his political career. The opposition and government critics, on the other hand, have interpreted the results with a good dose of skepticism.
