Summit in Paris Canceled

A summit of Belgrade and Pristina leaders that was to be held in early July in Paris has definitely been called off, meaning that no progress in Pristina-Belgrade relations should be expected for the time being.

There was obviously no progress in the preparations for the meeting, which is the main reason for the delay. Pristina remains firm in its stance that it does not want to abolish or suspend customs duties on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Belgrade is adamant that the negotiations cannot resume until the aforementioned happens. As it stands, no headway is likely to be made in that regard in the coming months.
