After the Decision on Participation in the Sabac Local Elections: Winding Roads of Boycott

As expected, the Together for Serbia party and its leader, Sabac Mayor Nebojsa Zelenovic, announced over the weekend of Feb. 22-23 that they had decided to take part in the local elections in the town and attempt to remain in power there, while simultaneously boycotting the general election. That caused anger among the members of the opposition Alliance for Serbia, which said that Zelenovic and his party had thereby expelled themselves from the opposition coalition. Together for Serbia accepted that decision without resistance, aiming not to worsen its relationship with the other opposition parties that are advocating a boycott at all levels.
