The leadership of the Kosovo Assembly is poised to decide on March 24 on an extraordinary Assembly session to vote on a motion of no confidence to the cabinet of Albin Kurti initiated by 46 deputies from the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo and other parties.

Bekim Kupina, spokesperson for the speaker, said that the leadership would meet on March 24, and had asked the National Institute of Public Health to weigh in on whether it would be safe to hold a session.

Besian Mustafa, Democratic alliance Presidency member and minister of agriculture, forestry and rural development, confirmed on March 23 that they would demand that the procedure to put the motion on the agenda go ahead.

All three opposition parties other than the Alliance -- the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and the coalition of the Social Democratic Initiative and the New Kosovo Alliance, are in favor of the vote of no confidence.
