Croatia has reported eight new cases of the coronavirus in the past 24 hours along with 66 recoveries and four deaths, the National Civil Protection Headquarters announced on April 28. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 2,047 persons have been diagnosed with the disease of whom 1,232 have recovered while 63 people have died. A total of 287 infected have been hospitalized of whom 21 are on ventilators. The remainder are recovering at home.

Slovenia reported six new cases while after a relaxation of measures on April 28 larger companies have reopened. The national public health institute and the Slovenian government have said that the total case count has risen to 1,408. The country also reported three more deaths bringing the death toll to 86.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina the number of deaths rose to 62 while two more cases of the virus were reported in the past 24 hours bringing the total to 1,539 while 671 people have recovered.
