Science Technology Park

A Science Technology Park opened in Nis on June 9, following an investment of EUR12.5 million.

The park will host more than 30 startups and technology development companies. The opening ceremony was attended by President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

“A total of EUR20 million will be invested in the park. We have invested much funds in Nis, which has been lagging behind, but now is going full steam ahead,” Vucic said.

Vucic described the park as “the most important thing the state has done in Nis.” He recalled that Serbia’s surplus in software technologies and products amounted to EUR800 million, while the value of the sector’s export stood at EUR1.4 billion.

Companies in the park would start operating in August and would have 14,000 square meters at their disposal, it was said at the opening ceremony.
