Two more people died from consequences of coronavirus infection in Serbia in the last 24 hours, while the number of newly confirmed cases is 41, read a statement published on the covid19.rs website.
There are 638 people receiving treatment in hospitals, of whom 47 are on ventilators. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia is 31,406; 931,037 people have been tested, while the total number of deaths so far is 713.
The Crisis Headquarters for fighting COVID-19 on Aug. 31 condemned violations of the epidemiological measures seen in certain local self-government units over the past weekend.
Letters have been sent to all mayors and municipal heads, recalling that they are obliged to ensure that all the epidemiological measures are implemented in their territory, without exception, and that disregard for the measures will not be tolerated.
