Ivica Dacic

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and German Ambassador to Belgrade Thomas Schieb said on Sept. 28 that relations between the two countries were at a high level and characterized by intensive cooperation both on the political and the economic plane, given that Germany is Serbia's number one foreign trade partner, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated.

Dacic familiarized Ambassador Schieb "with the latest developments related to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, with a special look at the reaching of the Washington agreement and resumption of the dialogue in Brussels," reads the statement.

Ambassador Schieb, the Ministry adds, said that Germany supported any progress made in the dialogue. Schieb handed Dacic an invitation for participation in a conference titled Young People, Migration and the Demographic Crisis in the Western Balkans, which will be held as part of Germany's chairmanship of the Council of the EU.
