Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said on Sept. 30 that the condition of health of some 48,000 citizens who had returned from the countries with a volatile epidemiological situation is currently being monitored, and that this is a situation no country has faced so far.

Speaking for TV Pink, Kon also said that we are slowly getting to the point where the vaccine against the coronavirus will be available in smaller quantities, and that the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency will have a final say in how it will be used.

He added that he cannot say which vaccine of those that are in the final stage of testing will be available in Serbia, but that it is very likely that all three vaccines that are currently being mentioned most frequently will arrive.

“This won’t happen simultaneously; the first quantities will probably begin to arrive as of the start of next year,” Kon said and pointed out that what is important is that there are sufficient quantities of the vaccine against the flu, and that because both viruses detrimentally affect immunity it is important to avoid their combined effect.
