Party of Freedom and Justice leader Dragan Djilas has said that all relevant parties and movements that could enter parliament would not participate in elections, as well as that Apr. 26 "is another day in the struggle that we have started and will not abandon."
"I am not saying that all organizations that will run in elections are doing so because they have reached a deal with Vucic, and are being paid or something similar. But I do claim that consciously or not , they are working in favor of Vucic and extending his time in office," Djilas told the Vreme weekly's latest edition.
He said that "it is a fact that the representatives of those citizens who are truly against this regime will not be sitting in parliament. This is because they do not accept compromise with the incumbent authorities."
To us, if someone participates in elections they are not the opposition, we do not accept that. "This is our red line. Whoever runs in elections in Serbia is doing so for themself. Some to remain MPs, as, otherwise they would not what to do with themselves, others to become MPs, because that is their dream or to become lawmakers and save the government. Their mouths are full of claims that they are doing this for Serbia, but no, they are only doing it for themselves," Djilas said.
He also said that protests would continue "as there are people who to protest in this way, and the opposition has yet to decide how it will participate in this."
