Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Feb. 18 said that a silent of revision of the Dayton Peace Accords was under way in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of abolishing the equality.

In an interview with TV Prva, Dacic described the statement by Bosnian Presidency Serb member Milorad Dodik “Goodbye Bosnia, welcome Republika Srpska (RS)-exit” as “a political fight.” “It is not an empty story, but a clear message: ‘If you pursue the policy of jeopardizing the equality of the Serb people, you will have problems,” he said.

Dacic also stressed that Belgrade would not allow the abolition of RS, noting that it was impossible.

“The Party of Democratic Action was set up relying on the policy of Alija Izetbegovic, which he defined more than 40 years ago, establishing that an Islamic state could be formed once the Muslims gain a majority. Now, they have the majority... This all may appear banal to someone, but when they knock down a trade center, don’t say that we were right. Osama bin Laden held a Bosnian passport,” Dacic said.

Speaking about the role of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Dayton Agreement, Dacic noted that Bosnia had been set up by the American model where joint functions were possible only upon an agreement by the entities, while land and woods did not fall under these matters.

At a special session in the evening on Feb. 17, the RS assembly adopted, with 72 votes in favor and two against, the Information in relation to “anti-Dayton activities of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina” and eight conclusions.
