The Basic Court of Montenegro has ruled for the third time that users of loans in Swiss francs need to reimburse Addico Bank and Heta Asset Resolution for their court expenses in a lawsuit launched in 2013, the Dan newspaper has reported.

According to the judge, 113 clients will have to pay EUR873,000 to Addico Bank and Heta Asset Resolutions. Of that amount, if the verdict becomes binding, clients will pay Addico Bank EUR462,300 and Heta EUR410,600.

The clients have lodged an appeal with the Higher Court which requests that the verdict be overruled and that the plaintiffs cover the court’s expenses.

The clients of these banks, who took out loans indexed in francs 15 years ago, sued the bank before the Basic Court in 2013 demanding that their debts be converted to euros and lowered.
