A Longstanding Government Officer Unknown to the Public

The new Secretary General of the Government of Serbia, Petar Janjic, took over from his controversial predecessor, Novak Nedic, whose deputy he had been for the previous four and a half years. Janjic is one of many figures close to the former, Democratic Party-led authorities, who have joined Aleksandar Vucic's camp. Although he has held different positions across the Government of Serbia for years, hardly anyone has heard of him before.
