Vladimir Pavicevic (BETAPHOTO/MILOS MISKOV)
Vladimir Pavicevic, co-president of a fairly new political party, Platform for Serbia, made a political comeback a few months ago, following a nine-year break. Pavicevic, once a staunch liberal and outspoken advocate of Serbia’s accession to the European Union (EU), has moved to a more conservative standpoint, occasionally flirting with nationalist sentiments. His speech last week at a student protest sparked strong reactions and reignited a debate over whether he is a genuine opposition figure or Aleksandar Vucic’s Trojan horse.
