Mladen Nenadic (BETAPHOTO/MILOS MISKOV)
The frontman of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime, Mladen Nenadic, found himself in the public spotlight again last week, after representatives of the regime led by Aleksandar Vucic and the tabloids close to it accused him of staging a “coup.” The occasion for those accusations was the issuing of warrants for the arrest of 13 people, including two former cabinet ministers – Tomislav Momirovic and Goran Vesic. The opposition-leaning public is divided over whether this is yet another show directed by Vucic or an authentic operation of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime which has suddenly “woken up” and begun doing its job.
