A German journalist, Michael Martens, sparked a series of negative reactions with a grotesque question he asked during an Aug. 8 joint news conference held in Belgrade by Serbian and Ukrainian Presidents, Aleksandar Vucic and Volodymyr Zelensky. Martens, a correspondent for the German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), who for quite a while has been suspected of acting in Vucic's interest, found himself at the center of attention in Serbia and abroad, almost overshadowing Zelensky's historic visit to Serbia.
