A Charismatic Doctor in the Focus of the Election Campaign

Doctor and university professor Ilija Srdanovic has found himself at the center of political ongoings in Serbia overnight, after the country’s protesting students placed his name first on their ticket for parliamentary elections. Srdanovic quickly gained tens of thousands of followers on social media, many of whom reacted positively to his antics in short video messages, although he also leaves the impression of not being a serious enough politician for the difficult measures that are expected from the student movement if it takes power.
