Ninety-seven COVID19 cases have so far been registered in Serbia, which is eight more than the previous day, the Serbian Health Ministry announced at 8 a.m. on March 19.

A total of 486 patients who showed relevant symptoms have been tested so far for the virus in the national reference laboratory at the Torlak Institute.

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on March 19 that the citizens have in general obeyed the curfew orders, which forbid anyone without a permit to be on the streets between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m..

“The police have issued 1,134 warnings,” said Stefanovic for Prva TV, adding that many people were on their way home when the officers stopped them. The curfew has just been introduced and, according to xhim, the people are still adjusting to the situation.
