Serbian Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin said in a March 26 comment on the fall of Albin Kurti's cabinet that it was evident that the there was a conflict between U.S. and Germany policy.

"The bulldozer diplomacy that U.S. special envoy for dialog between Belgrade and Pristina Richard Grenell is employing has evidently prevailed," Vulin told the Serbian Public Broadcasting Company and added that he expected no major changes in Kosovo's approach to Serbia.

Serbian Presidential aide Suzana Vasiljevic said on March 6 that the recent events in Kosovo "are obviously a foreign policy dispute between the U.S. and EU, that this is a question of two different policies, two different understandings of the situation in Kosovo which has resulted in a no-confidence vote in Albin Kurti's cabinet.

After a debate lasting over 11 hours in the Kosovo Assembly on March 25, 82 lawmakers voted for dismissing Albin Kurti's cabinet and 32 against while one delegate abstained from voting.

The vote was motioned for by the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo which was a coalition partner in the cabinet.
