Thaci Talks To Quint Ambassadors About Situation In Kosovo

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met on April 15 with ambassadors of the Quint and the chief of the EU Office, and discussed the situation in Kosovo, his office has announced.

Thaci thanked all the countries for their support to Kosovo during the pandemic and declared condolences to the countries where people have died. "We are fighting against the pandemic together and we must cooperate, in Kosovo, in the region and in the world," Thaci stated.

He also spoke about his request to Albin Kurti, president of the Self-Determination Movement, as the winner of the election on Oct. 6 last year, to nominate a premier designate after Kurti's first government has been ousted by a no-confidence vote.

"The citizens of Kosovo want and need a government with a full mandate, especially in the extraordinary circumstances of the pandemic," Thaci stated, adding that his every step would be in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Kosovo, with the current practice and the will of the political parties represented in the parliament.
