Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on April 27 thanked Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko for the aid, a donation of medical equipment, sent by the Russian Federation to Serbia to help its struggle against Covid-19.

According to a press release issued by the Foreign Ministry, Dacic expressed particular gratitude for the humanitarian aid that arrived in Serbia last week, sent by the Russian Peace Fund, headed by Leonid Slutsky, chair of the Russian Duma's International Affairs Committee.

The Serbian minister also stressed how important it was that a Russian expert team came to Serbia, giving a great contribution to the struggle against Covid-19 by conveying their experience to domestic services.

Botsan-Kharchenko relayed expressions of gratitude from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov for the assistance Serbia gave in returning Russian citizens to their homeland on humanitarian flights organized by the Serbian government.
