Almost all parties in Serbia violated election silence in digital space, research performed by the SHARE Foundation revealed on June 21.

"Noticeably, the Facebook pages of almost all political parties and leaders had active ads, i.e. sponsored posts, during election silence," show the findings of the SHARE Foundation, which monitored online campaigning for the elections in cooperation with the Belgrade office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation.

Such violations of election silence were noted by Enough Is Enough, Aleksandar Sapic, Dragan Djilas, Nebojsa Zelenovic, the Serbian Right, New Serbia, the Party of Modern Serbia, the Democratic Party, the Movement of Free Citizens, Zoran Lutovac, Dragan Markovic "Palma" and the Dveri (Doors) movement.

The list goes on with the Party of Freedom and Justice, Metla (Broom) 2020, Don't Let Belgrade D(r)own, One out of the Five Million, the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, the Serbian Progressive Party, the Socialist Party of Serbia, the Party of Democratic Action of Sandzak, the New Party, Misa Vacic and the United Democratic Serbia.

The final report on the monitoring of digital campaigns will be presented on June 25, the SHARE Foundation announced.
