ELECTORAL COMMISSION RELEASES FINAL RESULTS OF ELECTIONS, TURNOUT 49 PERCENT

The National Electoral Commission adopted a report at a July 5 session on the final results of elections for the Serbian parliament, according to which the Aleksandar Vucic - For Our Children ticket won 1,953,998 votes, or 60.65 percent of the vote for 188 seats in parliament.

A total of 6,584,376 Serbian citizens were registered for the vote on June 21 and on July 1, 3,221,908 of whom cast their ballots at 8,433 polling stations, for a turnout of around 48.93 percent.

The Ivica Dacic - Socialist Party of Serbia, Unified Serbia - Dragan Markovic "Palma" ticket won 334,333 votes or 10.38 percent for 32 seats in parliament.

The Aleksandar Sapic - Victory for Serbia ticket won 123,393 votes, 3.83 percent of the turnout for 11 seats.

Four minority parties also entered the parliament.

No other party crossed the threshold.
