One Person Dies in Novi Pazar, 330 Infected People Hospitalized

The coordinator of the General Hospital in Novi Pazar, Mirsad Djerlek, said on July 6 that over the past 24 hours one patient diagnosed with Covid-19 had died, a woman aged 72.

Djerlek said at a press conference that 330 patients who had tested positive for the coronavirus were hospitalized, in addition to 98 previously admitted to the hospital.

"A surge in the number of hospitalized patients occurred because the General Hospital has become a regional covid hospital, and 55 patients were admitted after a coronavirus flare-up in Sjenica," Djerlek explained.

He added that eight patients were on ventilators, and that over the past two days no one using a ventilator had died.
