11 people died from consequences of the corona virus infection in Serbia in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of fatalities to 341.
According to the July 8 announcement on the web-site of the Ministry of Health, 357 new cases of the infection were confirmed among 8,567 people who were tested.
There are 118 patients on ventilators, while the fatality rate is 2.00 percent.
Since the start of the epidemic in Serbia, 464,171 people have been tested and the virus was detected among 17,076 of them.
Serbian Minister for Health Zlatibor Loncar stated on July 8 that the Crisis Task Force would make the definitive decision about the introduction of a curfew for the weekend within the next two days.
Loncar did not say whether the measure would be in effect for the entire territory of Serbia, explaining that the intention was not to "punish" the people who were adhering to all epidemiological measures.
