The Belgian Embassy in Belgrade and the Belgian-Serbian Business Association (BSBA), together with Foundation B92, had donated medical and personal protective equipment, worth EUR12,200 to health institutions in Belgrade and southern town of Surdulica, Foundation B92 said in a release on July 21.

On the occasion of their National Day, July 21, Belgian companies and the Embassy in Belgrade have collected funds for the purchase of four infusion pumps for the Hospital in Zemun, a video laryngoscope for the Health Center in Surdulica, and 700 protective disposable coats for Belgrade hospital KBC Zvezdara.

Two Belgian companies, New Image and Metech, in cooperation with the Technical School in Smederevo, have delivered several hundreds of protective visors which will distributed to several Covid-19 care hospitals. Several other Belgian entities operating in Serbia, including TARA International Consulting, International Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer ICTTI and Elicio Wind, have also joined the drive.

Belgian Ambassador to Serbia Koenraad Adam has said it necessary to take care of the health staff in the difficult times, adding he is happy that the Foundation B92 has used a portion of the donation for protective equipment for the health workers.
