Stefanovic Talks with British Minister on Improving Police Cooperation

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic talked via video-link on Aug. 18 with British Minister of State for Security James Brokenshire on continuing cooperation between police in both countries.

According to a  statement released by Serbia's Interior Ministry, during the discussion Stefanovic said that so far, cooperation especially in the area of fighting organized crime and drug trafficking, had been good and pointed to the need for the fast and timely exchange of information between the police forces of both countries.

Brokenshire described cooperation between police in Serbia and Britain as excellent and stressed that they were partners. The ministers also discussed further improving cooperation in fighting cyber crime as well as the possibility of training in the area of fighting terrorism and mutual visits to London and Belgrade.
