Joksimovic Applies Via Letter To EU For EUR8.25 Million Payment

The Serbian minister for European integration and national coordinator for the EU's pre-accession aid (IPA), Jadranka Joksimovic, sent the application on Sept. 3 for the payment of the third variable installment of funds for supporting the program of the Sector Budget Support to the reform of public governance, her office has state

 

On the basis of this application, the amount of EUR8.25 million is expected to be paid into the Serbian budget by the end of this year.

 

"The reform of public governance represents the foundation for the comprehensive development of Serbia, and has been recognized as one of the basic pillars of the process of European integration," Joksimovic said, adding that public governance was important because it represented the point of contact between the people and the authorities, and because the quality of the government's services to the citizens depended on that reform.
