U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the commitment to economic normalization, signed between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Avdullah Hoti, have made Serbia, Kosovo, the Balkans, and the world a safer place, stressing that this step required exceptional courage of the leaders, the State Department has posted on its Instagram account.

According to the post, Trump stressed that “it took exceptional courage” of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Avdullah Hoti to depart for the talks and arrive in Washington to finalize these obligations, Radio Free Europe reported on Sept.

“By doing so, they have made their countries, the Balkans and the world a safer place,” Trump noted.

Under the U.S. mediation, Serbia and Kosovo committed to economic normalization in the White House on Sept. 4. The signing ceremony was attended by President Trump.
