Ambassador of the State of Palestine Mohammed Nabhan on Sept. 15 told Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that his country was concerned to learn that Serbia would relocate its Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Ambassador Nabhan said he was convinced that the Serbian leadership “in the spirit of traditional friendship” would endorse the position of the Palestinian people, it is said in a release from Vucic’s Office.

Vucic informed the ambassador about the talks of the Serbian delegation in Washington and Brussels. He told Ambassador Nabhan that Belgrade honored and cherished the friendship with Palestine and the Palestinian people and supported the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.

“Serbia is committed to enhancing relations with both, Israel and Palestine, and wishes a sustaining solution be reached based on international legal standards, established in the U.N., which would bring peace, stability and progress to all,” Vucic said, according to the release.
