In the past 24 hours, the presence of the virus was confirmed in 512 people in Serbia, which is the highest number of newly infected in one day since the start of the epidemic, it was announced on Oct. 21.
According to figures of the Health Ministry and the Institute Batut, 7,425 people were tested in the past 24 hours. One person died from the consequences of the infection, raising the total number of fatalities to 781.
There are 490 covid patients currently being treated in hospitals, 27 of whom on ventilators.
A total of 1,256,531 people have been tested in Serbia since the start of the epidemic, 37,120 of whom were positive for the virus.
