Zrenjanin panorama (Beta/Ljiljana Stupar)
The SouthEast industrial zone in Zrenjanin, covering an area of 100 hectares, is a multi-phase construction stage for the Linglong Tire's production complex, expected to produce more than 13 million tires a year.
The area of the construction site is equal to 200 football stadiums, and is larger than some of the Zrenjanin neighborhoods. The Linglong Tire has invested nearly a billion dollars in the new tire production complex, making the largest foreign direct investment in Serbia, and the largest business investment in Zrenjanin ever.
The Linglong International Europe Zrenjanin has selected the China Energy Engineering Group (CEEC) and the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) as the contractors, which hired many local sub-contractors, including Zrenjanin's. Belgrade's Masinoprojekt Kopring is the lead designer.
