Seven More People Die from COVID-19 in Serbia, 802 Newly Infected

In the past 24 hours 7,487 people were tested for the novel coronavirus in Serbia and 802 of them tested positive, according to a Nov. 2 statement.

Seven more people have died. The total number of patients on ventilators is 57. The total number of registered cases is 49,205 and the death toll is 833.

Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said on Nov. 2 that he expected the number of new coronavirus infection cases in Serbia to reach 2,000 per day in the coming days, with 20 percent of cases requiring hospitalization.

He pointed out that the situation could improve "if it is understood that we must cease contact" and added that protective masks must be used.
