Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Sem Fabrizi at a Nov. 30 meeting with Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic hailed the Serbian government's decision to calm tensions and preserve dialogue in relations with Montenegro, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

Respect for good neighborly relations and regional cooperation constitute the foundation stone of the EU enlargement process, said Fabrizi.

Fabrizi welcomed Belgrade's continuous commitment to the dialogue with Pristina, mediated by the EU and supported by the EU special representative, and encouraged Serbia to keep actively working on regional cooperation and good neighborly relations.

Selakovic pointed out that, where normalization of relations with Pristina was concerned, Serbia advocated dialogue and compromise, with the implementation of agreements reached seven and a half years ago, like the ones pertaining to a Community/Association of Serb Municipalities.
