Crisis Headquarters for fighting the coronavirus member Zoran Gojkovic said on Dec. 3 that the epidemiological situation was extremely serious and complex as well as that the time of year was also a very unfavorable factor because of the cold and other viruses although a fortunate circumstance was that the flu had not yet appeared.
Hospitals are overflowing with patients. Especially because our patients at this time have very difficult clinical pictures, and everyone that has been hospitalized requires serious attention. All of these patients need oxygen or are on ventilators and in intensive care, Gojkovic told Prva TV.
Gojkovic who is the provincial secretary of health also said that there were was a high number of infected health workers.
"We do not need the same situation that we had last week in terms of 'Black Friday' and I will absolutely say this as in the past five to seven days, we saw something that we said would happen - for the first time almost 60 percent of new cases are women, while men were always prevalent," Gojkovic stressed.
