In the past 24 hours a total of 20 people died of the coronavirus in Serbia, bringing the death toll to 3,791, the authorities announced on Jan. 19.
According to the Institute of Public Health of Serbia 10,534 people were tested for the virus of whom 1,688 were positive.
A total of 5,089 Covid-19 patients have been hospitalized while 171 are on ventilators.
Since the epidemic broke out in Serbia 2,496,125 people have been tested for the disease of whom 375,799 tested positive.
Existing measures in Serbia will stay in effect for the time being, epidemiologist Predrag Kon said on Jan. 19 adding that the situation was still regarded as unfavorable. He also said that the main subject now was vaccination which would the focus of future Crisis Headquarters meetings.
