Talks Start On Production of Russian Vaccine In Serbia

The official talks about the production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus in Serbia have begun, the Serbian minister for innovation and technological development, Nenad Popovic, stated on Jan. 21.

According to the announcement of the government in Belgrade, he and the experts of the Belgrade-based Torlak Institute for Virology, Vaccines and Serums, visited the production plant of the Generium company, the manufacturer of the Sputnik V vaccine, in the Vladimir District on Jan. 21.

The general director of Generium, Danil Talyanski, has confirmed the information about his company's readiness to transfer the technology and provide assistance to training the Serbian staff for the production of the vaccine against the coronavirus in Serbia, the statement reads.

It was announced that the protocol had been signed with Generium about the establishing of joint production of the Sputnik V vaccine in Serbia, and that Russian experts would visit the Torlak Institute within the next few days.
