Fourteen people have died of COVID-19 in Serbia in the last 24 hours, while 1,529 new cases were registered, the Serbian Ministry of Health said in a press release on Feb. 7.
There are 3,877 patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19, of whom 135 are on ventilators.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 407,881 people have contracted the disease in Serbia, while 4,126 died as a result of Covid-19.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that mass vaccination against the coronavirus would continue this week. He added that he was proud that Serbia "has a better information system" than the U.S. when it came to vaccination.
"They paid USD44 million for it, we didn't. I am proud that we have one of the best information systems in the world, I am proud of our doctors and nurses who care for us when we have Covid-19 and vaccinate us," Vucic said.
