Over the past 24 hours 32 more people died of the coronavirus in Serbia, while 2,965 were infected, the Ministry of Health announced on Apr. 20.
A total of 6,512 people have been hospitalized of whom 219 are on ventilators. Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia 667,937 people have contracted the disease while 6,058 died.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said on Apr. 23 that it could not be said that the epidemiological situation in Serbia was favorable. On Prva TV he said that he believed that the Crisis Headquarters for fighting the virus would not relax measures at a session on Apr. 21. "We are nowhere near being able to relax and celebrate the upcoming holiday," he said.
