Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the president of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen in Brussels on April 26.

According to the announcements, the main topics of the meeting, which began at 10 a.m., are the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, regional relations, rule of law reforms, and large infrastructure projects.

After his meeting with EU Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak, Vucic announced the possibility of the EU financing major infrastructure projects in Serbia, which he described as “the largest one can imagine.”

According to him, Fon der Leyen has yet to approve the deal, adding that if she does, “in four and a half years, [Serbia] will literally look nothing like it did 10 years ago.”

On the same day, the Serbian president is scheduled also to meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borell, EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi and the European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia, Vladimir Bilcik. Vucic’s visit to Brussels will end with a business dinner with European Council President Charles Michel.

The EU highest officials will have a separate meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Brussels on April 29.
