President Aleksandar Vucic on May 25 met with Ann Linde, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Sweden’s foreign minister, to discuss priorities of Serbia’s cooperation with the OSCE, Serbia’s EU path, the rule of law reforms, and strengthening bilateral and economic cooperation with Sweden.

Vucic underlined Serbia’s exceptional collaboration with the OSCE, noting that Belgrade particularly appreciated the Mission’s support to the overall reform process, including expertise in program fields such as democratization and media, the rule of law, strengthening human and minority rights, and the promotion of tolerance and non-discrimination, according to a release from Vucic’s Office.

Vucic and Linde agreed that OSCE’s role was very important for regional security and that Serbia, in line with the organization’s principles, was committed to providing its full contribution to regional stability.

“For Serbia, it is of crucial interest the preservation of stability in the region and focus on intense cooperation in all fields,” Vucic said, adding that work on further improvements to regional networking was the basis of Serbia’s foreign policy
