Four People Die From Coronavirus In Serbia, 160 Newly Infected

Four people died from the consequences of the coronavirus infection in Serbia in the past 24 hours, it was announced on the covid-19.rs web-site on June 16. This raised the total number of fatalities during the epidemic to 6,980.

There were 160 new cases of infection out of 9,353 samples. There are 392 patients currently being treated in hospitals, 19 of them on ventilators.

The deputy mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, has stated that, as of June 16 in the evening, hospitality establishments located in residential buildings will be allowed to operate until midnight on workdays and until 1:00 a.m. on weekends, as was the case before the epidemic.

He said that gatherings of up to 500 people was permitted in the open, and that it was also possible to organize matriculation celebrations, weddings, classes in nature and excursions, providing that the measures, prescribed by the City Institute for Public Health, are abided to.
