All the workers of the Sloboda military factory in Cacak are back to work, and the factory has fully restored its production line, suspended 15 days ago following a huge blast at the factory's warehouse, the Sloboda Independent Trade Union said to BETA on July 12.

Around 410 workers in the pyrotechnics shop have returned to their jobs now, while Sloboda's other facilities reopened last week. The factory employs a total of 2,000 workers.

Over the past few days specialized mine clearance units from the Kragujevac-based Overhaul Institute have destroyed unexploded grenades in the factory and its vicinity.

Two accidents happened in Sloboda in June - a blast in the finished product warehouse on June 4, and another one in the gunpowder warehouse two weeks later, after which the factory decided to suspend production. Considerable damage was reported as a result of the two blasts, while three workers suffered minor injuries in the second. Dozens of houses and other facilities around the factory were damaged, and 150 people living in the vicinity of Sloboda were evacuated.
