Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti would meet in Brussels on July 19 in a new round of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, with the participation of EU High Representative Josep Borrell and supported by the EU Special Representative for the Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.

This was announced by Borrell’s spokesman Peter Stano, who also said that some progress had been achieved in the last technical dialogue and also in previous meetings.

Stano stressed that the goal of the dialogue was to ensure “a mutually acceptable consensus and compromise in order to reach a legally binding arrangement on normalization of relations.”

According to Belgrade media reports, Vucic has said he believes that the dialogue with Pristina would resume at the highest level in Brussels in the second half of July, which will be an opportunity for him to seek protection for Dragica Gasic, the only Serb returnee to Djakovica, who has been exposed to pressure and threats.
